A Local Celebrity

This Turkey Vulture has been at the Alexander Lindsay Museum  since 1974... Which is also the year it was hatched... It became too dependent on humans to make it in the wild so it was brought  to Lindsay 35 years ago... Many generations of us have enjoyed and learned from this same Turkey Vulture all those years ... Today it was out front  in the aviary as it  has often been through out the years...This Bird has a really impressive wingspan !...Not bad lookin for an old bird ,,,What a Beautiful specimen of  the local  Turkey Vulture...Click on the picture to see a video presentation of this bird @ The Lindsay Museum...

Nothing says Thanksgiving like Oven roasted Turkey Vulture, mashed potatoes and gravy. Forget the impressive wings, I'll take a drumstick!
