Time For Marijuana Legalization?

CBS Says =
After generations of defending capital punishment and marijuana possession laws on moral, ethical and religious grounds, after years of declaring that the death penalty acted as a deterrent against violent crime and that pot smokers were more dangerous to society than, say, alcohol consumers, all of a sudden thanks to our economic crisis more and more mainstream powerbrokers are considering dramatic changes to our criminal justice system...........Most of you know Smokeys position on the Total Legalization of Marijuana........Having said that.............. I am merely bringing this to your attention so please dont hang me for it ... here is the link to the whole CBS NEWS STORY

Ya know if the Govenment could find a way to tax weed sales it already would be legal. They havnt yet because they cannot find a way to do it. All the perscriptions are taxed therefore they are fine for you to take even tho most of them harm you way more then weed every will. So as soon as they find a way to do it ( which they are working on) they will legalize it and within a few years with Taxed leagal weed CA will be out of debt completely

Why are we still having this conversation?

Nearly three-quarters-of-a-century after it was made illegal; half-a-century after it was proven to be practically harmless - why is it still a crime to possess and smoke marijuana?

Here is a list of ten famous people who died as a result of nicotine abuse:

Humphrey Bogart
Edward R. Murrow
Nat King Cole
George Harrison
John Huston
Noel Coward
Betty Grable
Walt Disney
Gary Cooper
Peter Jennings

Here is another list. Ten famous people who died from alcoholism:

Billie Holiday
Jack Kerouac
Truman Capote
Lorenz Hart
Veronica Lake
Bix Beiderbecke
Montgomery Clift
Dylan Thomas
John Barrymore
Errol Flynn

Now I'm going to ask you to name for me one celebrity who has died from too much grass.

Go on, I'm waiting. Is it a "gateway drug" as they never tire of reminding us? Yeah, it probably is. But so is Pabst Blue Ribbon. Let's get a grip here.
