Cowell Blacktail Deer Footage

Here is some video that I managed to get during the storm last week of some Black Tailed Deer on Ridge Park drive just off Cowell rd... Click on the location link to see exactly where I found them...Claycord.com had a post up this morning about a Cougar/Mountain Lion  sighting on Del Trigo in Clayton last week...Anyone who thinks that those big Kitties dont live among us is just plain wrong...Where there are Deer there are Cougars...Look on Google Earth and you will see that Del Trigo lane in Clayton and Ridge Park drive in concord are not but a couple of miles apart and are connected by the Lime Ridge Open spaces...  I have seen Deer back in there for years but never filmed them until last week when I stumbled onto the Buck out in the storm ...

Hey, first time here - interesting site!

Do you know of any hiking groups around the Claycord area? I would love to get out on the mountain but am reluctant to do it alone.

Thanks!

JoAnne

Hi Joanne, That is a very good question... I would try googling that one to see about that?

Save Mt. Diablo comes to mind for hiking groups - possibly?
